NFA Teen Shadow Board

The National Flight Academy Teen Shadow Board (TSB) is a student-initiated volunteer body whose main mission is to coordinate parental and student input as part of the development of the NFA. From marketing taglines and logos to uniforms and curriculum, they are covering it all! The Board has grown to include 25 trustees from Pensacola to Ft Walton Beach and even as far away as Miami. The Teen Shadow Board is helping to make decisions that will not only affect the future of the NFA, but the future of science and technology education throughout our country!

The Teen Shadow Board is comprised of Middle and High school students who have demonstrated achievement in academics or excelled in leadership positions. All the students share a love of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) and a desire to contribute to Pensacola through voluntary service.

The TSB meets monthly to discuss committee work, and form new ideas for input to NFA staff. Each month, The Board presents "The Board Report", a comprehensive review of the work completed by the Board to the National Flight Academy Development Team and the Naval Aviation Museum Foundation support staff.

The Teen Shadow Board has been facilitating and addressing multi-faceted projects such as: the official NFA logo, various press release and school out-reach materials, additions to the website and a new Facebook site, and other components of the program.
